B-Day Gift: Roman and Ami

I like this work, I really appreciate the focus on the two characters and I can really feel the romantic tension between the pair, perfectly framed by the heart in the background which helps to establish a focal point and composition which I really like. The bats provide an interesting contrast, hard for me to explain why but I do like their inclusion for that slightly gothic feel. I like the characters designs themselves but since they're someone else's designs I feel I shouldn't critique their actual designs too much (that said, Roman's hair is unique and interesting and I like that)

Overall, this piece is done really well (I can see why you say use full view though, to get rid of those prevalent artifacts that DA seems to like forcing upon this style of work!). One thing that does stick out to me is their mouths don't look quite right. It's hard for me to describe but the white part which I'm assuming is part of the mouth (this is on both characters btw) looks like it's... not in the right place? I'm guessing this is down to the style but I think a little extra lineart to suggest lips might work better, particularly on Ami, at least for me anyway.

But really, that's pretty much the only suggestion I have because this is an otherwise very nicely done piece of art. Good work, keep it up!
